Activity 3: Analysis of Letter by Ong Ding Shan
The sender used the three rules efficently.
Ethos. He figured that since the congressman have a high status in the goverment, he would have the power to influence others to listen to him and he can change and add rules. If the sender is able to convince that having guns bring more harm than good, perhaps they would disallow guns in that state.
Pathos, he figured if he could "boot lick" the congressman, his chances of persuding would be higher. Therefore he state howmuch he admired them.
Logos, he stated many examples of surveys and research taken so that there are more reasons to believe the sender.
